There was a huge rat on the back porch mat today.  For the past couple of weeks there have been small mice, shrews and moles.  Today a rat.  Had to be about a third the size of the cat.  I wouldn’t have guessed that the cat would win that fight.  I have seriously murderous mini kitties.  I’m told they leave kills because they think their owners are bad hunters- you know, they’re worried I might starve.  Which is odd since they harass me to fill their food dish too…
